How long does it take?

Newark Liberty is roughly 40 to 45 miles north of Princeton. In light traffic the drive is often about an hour. Weekday mornings on US-1 and the Turnpike, Friday afternoons and holiday weekends can add a lot, so we plan the pickup around the time of day as well as the distance.

For a domestic flight we usually suggest a pickup about three and a half hours before departure from Princeton, and more for international flights. Send your flight time with your quote request and we will suggest a pickup time.

Which way do we go?

The two usual choices are US-1 north and the New Jersey Turnpike north, which leads straight to the airport exit. Which one is faster changes with the time of day and any incidents, so we check traffic before we leave and choose on the day.

Train or car service?

NJ Transit's Northeast Corridor runs from Princeton Junction to Newark Airport station, where you switch to AirTrain. It works well for a light traveler. With big suitcases, a family, an early flight or a pickup on campus, a door-to-door ride avoids the Dinky, the platform and the AirTrain transfer. The Suburban typically seats up to 6 passengers; tell us your bag count so we can confirm everything fits.

Newark or Philadelphia?

From Princeton, Philadelphia is also a realistic airport. Choose the flight that suits you first and we will drive you to whichever airport it uses.

Flying home to Princeton

Newark is in New Jersey, so we pick up as well as drop off. We check your flight status before pickup and adjust for delays. Airport pickups include 30 minutes of complimentary wait time after landing for domestic flights and 60 minutes for international flights. Because Princeton is south of our Branchburg base, please book ahead.
